Offered is a Beautiful Siberian Husky / Alaskan Malamute Porcelain Dog Figurine, with a Polished Silver Chrome Luster Finish. It stands 10.5" Tall x 6" long x 4.5" wide. Very nice quality, no markings or labels, so not sure of the maker? This is in beautiful clean condition, displays beautifully, and has cushion pads on the bottom, to protect surfaces when displayed! It has no chips, or cracks, no discoloration, or tarnishing. Please see photos, this is the actual figurine you will receive.

book illustration by Edwin Megargee. It appeared in the first edition of a dog encyclopedia published that year. The illustration is signed in the plate by Megargee. (A print is said to be signed in the plate if the artist's signature is incorporated into the matrix and so appears as part of the printed image.) There is text on the reverse.

About the artist:
Edwin Megargee
Edwin Megargee was an animal painter, illustrator, and etcher. He was born in 1883 in Mt. Airy, Pennsylvania. Throughout his educational career, he attended Georgetown University from 1899 to 1900, Drexel Institute in Philadelphia from 1900 to 1904, and finally the Art Students League from 1904 to 1905.
He was a breeder and painter of gun dogs and wrote and illustrated several illustrated dog dictionaries.
